In a normal year, the lake level begins a slow retreat around the middle of July. This year, it's holding onto the gains made over the long Winter and short Spring. Some longtime lake residents have told me that this was the natural level of the lake during the 70's, 80's, and early 90's. I have a few pictures that would seem to confirm that, so I guess we should get used to it. Saturday's bar night had just a smattering of Malort (Malort, the product of a gypsy curse).
-Nemo plans to spend the next 2 weeks in, on, and under the lake.
