This could be the last Ice-In report. Twenty five feet of ice sheet leaped from the shore on Friday night. It wasn't that cold on Friday night. By Sunday large bergs of ice were spotted bridging the west and east shores for a time. A strong wind from the North or South will sweep the thin layer to the shore if a large enough fetch of open water remains. No wind events are predicted in the near future and the open water is getting smaller and smaller. Colder temperatures, little wind, snow. In all likelihood, I'll get an ice thickness report up next week.
