Listening to the Warm
July 14th through 20th

The solstice is speaking and it's time for men and women of good character and bronze-ing skin to listen. Though you might want to apply some sunscreen to those ears first.

Some like to listen to the warm while on decks, golf courses, or beaches. We have found that the acoustics are best gliding over a mirrored surface with a ski or two.

Eagles were spotted daily enjoying the sun/looking for food.

And food is trying not to become an important part, or any part, of an eagle's diet. Camouflage is one of nature's most fundamental survival techniques. Notice how this frog blends into Knott Lane, seemingly becoming part of the road. He was also very still.

The warm could be heard under several feet of the crystal clear water of Lake Lucerne.

The water was listening and is pushing closer to 80 F.

The gutter gardens are starting to produce as are other things.

WPS planted some transformer seeds on the North end of the lake this week. Transformers have been reported already sprouting along HwyW.

Last week's weather was a magnificent concert of hot. Hot. Not the warmishness of the past two years. Not the swimming without shivering too muchness of the past month. But the full on, take no prisoners, no escape hot that's the sound of a great Summer. Boats, skiers, swimmers, golfers, and others tangoed to the torridity all week. And it's forecast to continue. Huzzah!
