During all of last week, there wasn't much rain. During the start of last week, there was much wind. Then there wasn't. It made for an interesting time.
Wind. Combined with water levels significantly higher than when piers and lifts were introduced to the lake, caused no small amount of higgledy-piggledy. There was much diving for pier parts on Tuesday.
As do most epic tales, last week's warm air and smooth water had its villains. During the weekend, black-hatted, mustachioed miscreants (tubers) tied up a lot of the tranquility to metaphorical railroad tracks. They eventually moved on to similar displays of athleticism (waxing their mustaches, sitting, sleeping, checkers) and the lake was returned to a state of righteousness to be skied, fished, and footed upon.
