Ice-In came early this year. Huzzah, if you're into that sort of thing. One of the more ambitious and reckless of us donned a wet suit, grabbed an ice drill, ruler and went out onto the new shelf. The ice, 50 feet from the shore, on the North end is 4 inches thick. I'll bet it's a bit thinner closer to the middle. We've got snow followed by extreme cold coming later this week. That should thicken the lake up nicely. Christmas lights should become more widespread this week. If history is any guide, Tom Perry's will rule the northwoods. I'll get pictures.
