Golf Weekend

October 9th through 12th, 2002

Peak color has arrived, finally. Not much red this year but lots of golds, yellows and browns. The weather was what we've come to expect from this year, marvelous. Temperatures were a bit higher than normal with a friendly breeze from the south. Meg finds big nut! 11+ years after marrying him she then found this large acorn. Heavy dew prevented all who fear damp pants from hiking in the tall grass. We found a woodpecker pecking at some weeds for bugs. The lake is now 10 inches above the nail! In the past it has gone down before ice-in so this may be the peak level for the year. Chicken wild rice soup at Duck's! I would like to thank all the electors who voted for this soup. I believe it was due to your efforts that this tasty selection was made available during golf weekend. Some cynics may say that voting doesn't matter but I think this will definitively suppress that notion. Just in case you missed it, yes, our raft is still in. The men said that the water might be warmer in a few weeks and then ran off. With no desire to pull it out without help, we went golfing instead. The less said about golf the better.

-Nemo: No hole in one, should not be allowed near a tee box.
