The Tippy Raft Affair

July 14th through 16th, 2000

The skiing moon was up this weekend. Nobody skied at night for fear of the letter of the law, but if you did strap on the pine and take in a run you would not have violated the spirit of the law. It was almost as bright at midnight as it was during a very cloudy day. Almost. A bright Aurora Borealis augmented the light from the moon on Saturday night. We really should have skied. Tip the raft, a game of little skill and a few bruises, was played for longer than we'd like to admit. The raft was restored to a less upside down orientation some time later. In addition to the homage to the old "Raft of Many Injuries" at Timber Shores (Rafto, tipping, tanning), there was much skiing (during the daylight), diving, swimming, bumper pool, and fishing, done on the North end of Lake Lucerne last Weekend. Plus, there were ribs on Saturday night. Bruised and bloated bodies returned home on Sunday to heal (Yay!) and work (Boo!) and do it all over again next weekend.

-Nemo's in the skiing queue right behind the Lutz.
