We made it up Friday to do laundry, check out the Fall leaves, and avoid a bachelor party. The weekend started off a little cool, cloudy, and damp.
The lake was cold and crystal clear.
While admiring the lake, we were joined on the dock by a unfamiliar dog.
He seemed friendly enough and had kind of freaky eyes.
During the afternoon on Saturday, we canoed around the North end of the lake to better see the leaves and exploit the flat-ish water.
Most trees were still green, but a few were well on their way to peak color.
The lake was clear and inviting, but really cold. Nobody swam. Nobody fished either. And skiing was right out. By the time we get back to Milwaukee, we are hoping that the Packers are 4 and 1.
