The lake temperature was above 70°F all week. There was some shivering, but swimming, diving, and skiing were not the hypothermic events they have been.
By mid-week, the clouds began to whisper about some coming rain.
It may not have been as warm as past weeks, but it was more green and blue. Especially green. From the golf ball grabbing trees on the golf course, to the tadpole sheltering lily pads on the ponds, to the sweet corn popping up in part of the bar's garden, plants of the northwoods are exploding with growth and green. We need more rain to keep it that way.
