Last week started off summery. That didn't last. After Monday, the area got some wind, passing rain, and a few mornings in the 30s°F. And a colder Lake Lucerne. Swimming, diving, and skiing from here on out will become an activity for the hardy and summer clingingly desperate.
Critters across the northwoods were active last week. The furry balls of evil, commonly referred to as squirrels, were boldly raiding bird feeders, making weird sounds, and planning other heists all week.
