With most days in the upper 70s°F, a few days in the mid 80s°F, and all days filled with sun, being on or under the raft was a great way to escape the heat.

The hot days of last week were heartening, but the lake steaming mornings were worrisome. The crisp mornings of autumn are not without their charm, but not yet please.
