Pre-Deer Hunting Week

November 7th through 13th, 2016

The air grew a little cooler last week and foundation projects on Knott Lane grew a little doner. The heavy machinery that occasionally blocked the lane will not be missed. The road itself is in pretty good shape. The gas line trenches are covered, pot holes are in their larval form, and, more importantly, it's snow free. The trees are stubbornly holding onto their leaves here in the extreme southwestern corner of the lake. It's a little warmer here, too. The cabins here are more spacious than those on the lake. Some are more tippy though. This Fall's Knottlane.com technology and tanning symposium is winding down. Many topics were broached, but the focus was primarily on new coding methods, high SPF sun screens, and mixology. The new cocktails unearthed here will serve bar nights well. The forest fire that toasted an estimated 6 acres just to the West of the lake between West Shore Drive and Hwy W is still out. We should be able to get some drone images of the scorched area by next week's update. There also might be some mowing.

-Nemo: Tanned, Rested, Ready for Ice-in.
