Lake Lucerne
There were some moments of rain and some moments of sun last week. The sun was nice, but we really need the rain.
Lake Lucerne
There was no rain here at the Knottlane Technical Conference, Board Meeting, and Pool Party.
Lake Lucerne
The lakes here are smaller and more fountainy. We saw no skiers.
Lake Lucerne
The boats here are fine for pier pulling and other maintenance, but are woefully under-powered for pulling even a kneeboard.
Lake Lucerne
In between sessions and meetings, we looked for glassware. This $45,000 dollar glass thing is one of the many you will not be seeing at the bar. We're not even sure how you would drink from it.
Lake Lucerne
The only regret we have is not getting the giant glass Popeye. It would have made an impressive Christmas tree ornament.
Lake Lucerne
There are some other crystal doodads on the main street here that catch the sun and refract intense beams of color. It's fun to see, if it doesn't vaporize your retinas too much.
Lake Lucerne
Back closer to the lake, it was noted that the dining dock has been pulled from the colder and colder water of Lake Lucerne.
Lake Lucerne
The lake had some wet days last week. More rain, and a little snow, is forecast in the coming days. A wet fall combined with some nice Spring rains could push the lake back up to the nail. That's an increase of almost 4 feet in less than 3 years! Yay!
