Like Last Week Only Wetter
May 5th through 11th

We can't speak for the middle of last week, we had to return to Milwaukee to paint a house, but the start was a continuation of the Summer-like conditions of the week before.

That and rain. We started the week with a fat half inch of the lake raising stuff. Huzzah!

Needless to say, creeks and other inflows are fat with fresh sky water.

The trillium are up and abundant as are the ferns and wild leeks. The plan is to observe the first two and eat the latter.

A lone eagle has been hunting the north end of the lake.
A few of the sunsets were outstanding and a little drone-y.

The lake has soared to 55℉. That's still a few degrees away from sane skiing and swimming. The added warmth will make the comedy of boat lift insertion more fun. Or more accurately, less unfun. In addition to piers and lifts sprouting from the shore, cabins that have been shuttered for the winter are being opened. So far there have been no reports of broken water systems or squirrel damage. By the end of the week, the weather turned cool and cloudy. It's to continue in this fashion for the next few days before getting warmer. There should be rain, too.
