Sure the creeks are frozen over, but there is no ice forming on the shore yet. There's a trace of snow on the ground but a few above freezing days will take care of that. The transition from Summer to Fall was smooth and gradual. Fall to Winter, not so much. It's as if Winter speed shifted into high gear (Winter : "We don't need no stinking clutch!") in about 36 hours. The change was even more traumatic for those of us that were enjoying the mid 80s°F while walking down the Vegas strip just a few weeks ago. Still, the prediction of mid 40's°F this weekend could spell golf for the hardy. Bring hand warmers.
