With Footstock behind and falling leaves ahead, Lake Lucerne has entered Fummer's peak. The lake temperature is currently at 76°F. That's good for this time of year. It should be above 70°F for Labor day, making boat/lift pulling less shivery. The lake level is down about an inch from last weekend. That's still up from Spring, but some rain would be nice. The bugs don't seem as thick. The cool Fummer nights and recent dry weather may have dented their population. Plus I've swatted quite a few.
-Nemo, not bounced all weekend.
