We were greeted by wind and clouds on Friday afternoon. The clouds stuck around at night blocking a possible great aurora from us.
Saturday started great. The clouds that plagued us on Friday were gone by sunrise and the lake was steaming.
A single silent loon was fishing for the better part of the morning on the north shore.
While the air warmed up and the steam blew off we went golfing for the last time this year. The leafs are off the trees for the most part and most piers are in. We saw a few fishermen but nobody was skiing on the cold clear water.
Christmas is less than 9 weeks away! We kicked off festival season by hiking to Meg's Meadow to see the decorated tree there.
We had to leave late Saturday afternoon. The forecasts of rain/freezing rain/snow starting on Sunday made the exit easier.
