This Old Bar
March 2nd and 3rd, 1996
We washed up on the frozen shores of Lake Lucerne late on Saturday.  After some drinking (long drive, we were parched), fireworks, sleep and morning laundry, it was time to hit the lake.
It was noted that some of the forts from the Annual Lake Lucerne Bottle Rocket War, held just 2 weeks before, had not fared well.
Potawatomi Trail is getting pretty clear.  You can see pavement!
After walking around the North end of the ice, we ended up at the bar in the northeast corner of Lake Lucerne.  They had no deck nor booths but they did have Pabst..
Another quick trip North of Hwy 64 to do laundry is in the books.  We came back not with just a few loads of clean clothes, but also with a feeling that Spring is getting closer.  The roads are largely snow free and there was only about two inches of snow on the lake.  This small amount of snow is extra good in that the lake is currently close to an all time high.  We could use a little less precipitation to bring the lake back down to a not-quite-overflowing level.
