Novmember 25th through December 1st, 2024

Last week started off seasonally cool. It grew colder as the weekend neared. Ice has claimed Lake Wabikon. Lucerne is usually a week or two later. Unlike last year, it looks like 2024 will include a December ice-in. Here in the extreme southwestern corner of the lake, it's not so cold and a lot more emoji. Some of the trees in this corner of the lake are close to peak. Others are holding on to their green fronds for now. The week ended in December and several trees were dressed for the occasion. Some were pretty big. Big seems to be the norm in the extreme southwestern parts of the lake. We are not quite sure how useful some items are, but they are big. While we did find the "Egg Shop", we have yet to find the "Bacon Bar". But it's not all fun and games here at the Annual Knottlane Board Meeting and Pool Party. During a breakout session on drink accessories, garnishes of unusual color and sweetness were obtained. That, and we found out how tall we are in giant gummy bears. You may have noticed fewer images of the lake in this update. It's hard to get a good lake picture from here partly due to the buildings and giant emoji in the way of a good shot, but mostly it's the curvature of the earth. We had some employees back on the shoreline tasked with taking a few, but the "Puking Flu" put the kibosh on that plan. We did get reports that the lake is still very open with the expectation that it will not be so open in about a week. If you haven't entered the Ice-In contest yet, now is the time.

-Nemo will have more Lake, fewer garnish images next time.
