Just before the weekend, we took advantage of the clear, calm, hot weather to do a dive rescue near Water's Edge of a dog harness thingy that some close friends lost in the lake. It should be noted that the dog was not connected to the harness thingy when it went down, so yay for that.
The first thing we noticed was that there are a lot of fish in the restaurant's bay. The second thing I noticed was a big northern pike.
The dog harness thingy was surprisingly located, imaged in situ, and returned to the owners. Huzzah!
Bonus chair! On our way back to the show dock after the dog harness thingy was recovered and returned (and imaged in situ), we found a lawn chair resting on the bottom of the lake for probably more than a year. It was green, in good shape, and also recovered.
There was also a bar night on Saturday that expanded from a few family members on the deck to a full fledged, many drinks, should have gotten more mixers, "fire up the fryer!" type of night. Didn't get any pictures of the event primarily due to the drinking thing, but also due to deep conversations of beer brands that no longer exist (Get, Get Gettelman!) among other topics. During the weekend, Lucerne seemed to have more boat traffic than normal. The uptick in watercraft could have been due to the heat, calm water, or the proximity of Labor Day. Whatever the reason, the weekend looked and sounded very summery. And that's the way we likes it.
