At the start of the month of September, Fall arrived meteorologically. Just before the start of last week, Fall arrived via the calendar. Last week, sunsets occurred before exhaustion. Swimming was more scream-y. And idle thoughts touched on hats and heating systems. Last week, Fall arrived.
Color in some trees is getting close to peak.
With the arrival of real Fall, our ruminations have begun to focus on final mowing, propane, firewood, and carving pumpkins (Pumpkin Carving is scheduled at the bar on Saturday, October 20th, BYOP). There are still quite a few boats and lifts in the lake. This could be a function of that pontoon crane guy making late season lift removal less numbingly cold or it could be that many want to have images of that last ski run adorned with peak color trees in the background.
