Calm Water and Chocolate

May 14th through 20th, 2018

From the extreme southwestern corner of the area, the only view of the lake is very webcam-y. Fortunately, poaching current images from social media is easy and we have several good photographers on the lake. Truly, we live in a golden age. The trillium are up and will be plentiful for the next week or so. The flowers here are also about, but are much more arboretum-y. The outdoor plants in these parts tend to be less flower and more spike. In a little backwater structure off one of the bigger lakes here, we discovered the fabled chocolate falls. We were told that chocolate tastes better when it's dropped 20 feet. mmmmm...dropped chocolate. In other dark, amorphous material events, bird seed infused bear poop was discovered on Knott Lane. The extreme southwestern corner of the lake is hot and filled with buffets. If fat and sweaty was our goal, we wouldn't leave. We'll be back on the shore of beautiful Lake Lucerne soon. If you can, be sure to attend Memorial Day's bar night (Saturday, May 26th) for cocktails, talk of robotic bartenders, new garnishes, and diet strategies.

-Nemo skipped the wafer thin mint, but it was a close thing.
