Wintergami Week

October 30th through November 5th
Fall folded into Winter last week. There's no ice on the lake yet, but there's now plenty of snow around it. Gardening season is over. Note to self: Pick peppers before the snow. It was also noted that the carved pumpkins were in worse shape than the peppers. There was some melting of the snow. The creeks flowing into the lake reflected that. In a normal year the lake level drops a few inches in the Fall. This year it has held at 21 inches above the nail. The snow line did not extend down to Southwestern Crandon. The golf here is also dryer and not so icy. In retrospect, Fall had been subtlety folding into Winter for several weeks now. After the 5 inches of snow last Friday night and Saturday, it can be confidently stated that Winter has arrived. In the short term, above freezing temperatures during the day might allow for some late season mowing. In the long term, it might be time to winterize the lawn mower.

-Nemo recommends ethanol free gas and some gas stabilizer.
