The Best Week

July 17th through 23rd
By many measures, last week had the best Summer weather of the year. It was hot, sunny, green, and wonderful. Except for the bugs. The bitey ones are not that wonderful. The water temperature is as warm as it gets. Extremely clear, too (this image was captured under about 8 feet of lake). The shoreline and forest floor are as green as it gets. The last few months of wet weather has kept the stress from the trees so don't expect to see any early splashes of autumnal colors. At first glance we thought it was an eagle. We were wrong. The ski show at Water's Edge continues to impress. When the acts are pulled off flawlessly it's great, but even the crashes are pretty cool. Sunsets last week were just the cherries on top. How long can this go on? We've already had enough fantastic weather to ensure that this Summer is listed with the greats. Another week or four and this could be the best ever. So get up here and become a part of history.

-Nemo's having his calls forwarded to the raft.
