No Snow? No Frost? No Problem!

October 31st through November 6th
In a normal year, this is the time that we start seeing ice on the shore, frost on the ground and other assorted pestilence. This year, not so much. The rain from the week before last continues to hold the lake level above the nail. Knott Lane is a little soggy. Not as good as dry, but so much better than icy. Pumpkin carving weekend ended two weeks ago. The carved pumpkins are starting to get a little long in the tooth, squishy to the touch. Unfrosted morning dew is greening for at least one more lawn mowing. Yay. Here in the extreme southwestern corner of the lake, there's no frost either. The weather is a tad warmer too, but the cabins are taller and more romany And they seemed to have known we were coming. To check on the lake ice progression, plan "A" is to use a drone. If we can find a left one, we may have an amphibious Plan "B". You may have noticed that the ice-in contest has not been posted yet. It'll be up this Thursday (November 10th). Thanks again to
LexAnn Hitchcock and xxLt for the pictures. I can't quite photograph the lake at our current location. Even with the camera over my head and standing on my toes.

-Nemo, tanning and coding, but mostly tanning.
