Cooler
November 3rd through 9th

It was warm enough to golf early last week. Then it was not. Well, you could if dressed properly. No significant ice yet.

Here in the extreme southwestern corner of the lake shore at the Knottlane board meeting and pool party we had a bit of rain and a lot of fountains.

There were two reasons we chose not to bring it back to the lake. One, we were not sure how it would handle the coming snow. And Two, the paper in the window noted that the tongue could not support a rider.

With the cold weather a coming, you'd think eating hellishly hot wings would be a cool story, but the humiliation and pain in the faces on the hall of shame told us a different story. Pass.

They only had right feets. We really wanted a right and left for the ultimate amphibious look. If the lefts come in, we'll get two pair. Race you to the islands!

Remember all that atomic testing near Las Vegas in the past?

Jay, have we got an idea for you!

With highs now in the 40's and lows below freezing, the water temperature is going down. We'll try to get an exact reading before next week.

We have to wonder if Bucky could add one of these to the bar. It'd be a great view and could also act as a navigational beacon for fisherman during fog. And it could be used to check the entire lake for ice when the weather grounds drones. Dropping pumpkins from the top would be almost 3 times more fun than launching them from the fire tower at Sugarbush Hill.

The lake got a bit of rain last week. We'll try to get a lake level and temperature check before the end of the week. Thank you Talia for the lake pictures this week!
