Summer Double Bonus Period

Next »

September 1st through 7th, 2015

Last week, it was still Summer. It was sunny. It was hot. The water temperature rose to 76°F. The calendar might say September, but the weather shouted July. Even under 5 feet of crystal clear lake, the sun felt warm. During the sunsets, Fall could be felt a bit On the golf course, a few of the trees are showing previews of things to come... The lake, before Friday, was mostly boat free and mergansered up. That changed Labor Day weekend. In addition to many more boats, seaplane traffic on Lake Lucerne was up during the weekend, also. On Saturday, the LLAA had its yearly meeting. There were tables this year! And "The Man From WPS". We were hoping for Napoleon Solo or Illya Kuryakin but his name was Steve, or Bob or something. And he wasn't from U.N.C.L.E. What he lacked in secret international counter espionage talent, he made up for in knowledge of power and gas plans around the lake. Power by the end of September and gas lines by 2018. On Sunday, there was the Knott Lane Open Golf Outing followed by the after party and award ceremony. The 10 teams represented more golfers than ever. The after party was made more pleasantly crowded by an inch of rain that thankfully started minutes after the last team left the course. Thanks to everyone that golfed or attended the after party for helping make this year's tournament one of the best ever! We hope to see everyone next year to do it all again. The rain has helped the lake hold its own. We'll be getting a lake level measurement before next weekend. We're hoping to have a triple bonus period added to this Summer, but the forecast is not encouraging. Still, it's been great up to now!

-Nemo's loving every minute of it.
