It's been cloudier than we would have liked. This has kept Comet Lovejoy, at 4.0 Mag, unseen above all the night clouds. Sad. Temperatures have been close to normal. No sub-zero days last week. Happy, warmish.

The now, two week old 24th Annual Lake Lucerne Bottle Rocket War forts, still stand but are starting to droop (Kids, drink your milk!). We think they will continue to be a monument to something or other for several more weeks being that local fort kickers are currently in Australia.

We finally found the time to ride the lifts at Brule.

At first, the snow was a little fast, then a little slow as the temperature at the top of the hill soared to 27°F.

This is the first year we have been riding trail. It's amazing. By the end of the week, the snow was getting thin in some spots. We need a good foot or so of the white stuff to keep the snow-goers happy.

We took the drone up over Lake Metonga after hearing that a small town of fishless men, and one women, had sprung up over the past few weeks. It was reported that the fishing was not good but the sunset was great.

Not a lot of swimmers at Metonga's public beach. There was no lifeguard perched atop of the Tower of Toria.

The snowy town of Crandon currently seems larger than the fishing village on Metonga.

It's snowing. Good for the lake and good for the snow-goes. There was some dripping last week and a slush layer has reformed between the lake ice and the snow on top of it. Sledding on the slush is sloppy. Walking the lake can be exhausting. It's better to mix a nice gin and tonic, wrap yourself in a comfortable bar, and watch the Winter go by. The drink should be garnished with a lime slice and a few good friends.<br><br><br>-Nemo is holding your reservation for booth 1.
