The weather over this past week seems to have been ordered by ducks. Lake Lucerne saw fog, mist, low clouds, rain, and no sun. The water temperature held at around 72℉ and close to two feet below the nail.

Rain! Maybe an inch, after all is said and done, should keep the lake from falling much. Boats are currently easy to get off the lifts. If we get the predicted precipitation, floating craft off lifts will continue to be a non-problem for the rest of the season.

Despite all the damp, the creek in the northeast corner of the lake remains dry. It'll take a good 3 inches to get this baby flowing again.

There's one more organized ski show on the lake this year. After Wednesday, the Crandon Water Shows goes into hiatus until next June. Unorganized shows will continue on the north end of the lake as the Crandon Water Goofus will continue to ski, kneeboard and generally wrinkle the water until late September.

Damp, it's what's for dinner. And lunch, And breakfast. The aqueous air has made tan maintanence impossible and has thus dashed all hope of winning any local George Hamilton look alike contests. But fret not, the pale and pasty, along with everyone else, are encouraged to participate in next Sunday's (August 31st) Knott Lane open to be held at the Nicolet Country Club with the after party at 5:00 PM for both the golfers and non-golfers at the bar on the north end of the lake.
