Days of Summerfest
June 24th through 30th

It didn't snow this week and trillium season is still over. Starting about mid-week, a breeze from the south brought warmer temperatures and waves to the north end of Lake Lucerne. Good for tubing, not so good for skiing or footing.

If Saturday's sickly 0.2 inch of rain is added to the anemic 0.3 inches the lake got earlier in the week, that would make a feeble half an inch of precipitation for the weak week. The lake level needs more rain than that.

The bugs are out in great numbers. Some are welcome and a treat for the eyes. Others bite.

A fiery bar night on Saturday saw the passing of the Planet's Cup to a new generation of bar rail bowler. There was beer, too (Hamm's) until there was not.

The lake temperature is close to 74℉ and we'll be measuring and posting the lake level tomorrow. I'd guess that the lake is about 22 inches below the nail. All the rain in the state is seemingly being pushed south of Lake Lucerne, sigh. Cooler/calmer weather is predicted for this next week. Maybe the cooler weather will bring the rain. Not to cool though. As much as we need rain, snow/rain mix would not be welcome.
