Days of Anticipation

June 10th through 16th, 2014

Lake Lucerne
It didn't snow this week and trillium season is over.
Lake Lucerne
Other flowering plants are more than willing to replace the missing trillium.
Lake Lucerne
In case you missed it, the weekly water show is back on the lake.
Lake Lucerne
We will always enjoy the boat of many motors.
Lake Lucerne
We also enjoy a good crash, but a flinch runs through the crowd when a pyramid act goes wrong.
Lake Lucerne
Thankfully, no one was hurt when two thirds of the "upside down pyramid" collapsed. They did get soaking wet though.
Lake Lucerne
We did not get much rain this week, but we did get a gloriole late in the week.
Lake Lucerne
Not much rain at all. Next week is looking wetter and hotter. Let's hope so.
Lake Lucerne
The anticipation of hot weather and warmer water is palpable. The water temperature has recovered to 67°F. That's better, but still a bit on the chilly side. The weather this week could be best described as cool and dry. The first hot, dry day with warm water (>72°F) is fast approaching. On that day, we expect everyone to queue up no later than five minutes after sunrise for skiing runs. Until then, any free time you have should be devoted to doing a continuous rain dance. In other news, we've finally finished adding the meta-code and Previous/Next links to all the summary pages. You're now free to click the Previous link all the way back to '75 then Next all the way back to now. A finer non-deterministic finite automaton, we can't imagine.

-Nemo's rain dance looks a lot like lawn mowing.
