If you define Summer as June, July and August, Summer is half over. In some ways it seems to be flying by way too fast. In other ways the long days, heat and bugs are getting old. Well, at least the bugs anyway. The lake temperature (taken 6 feet under the surface) hit a record 83.5°F this week. Swimming was nice. I don't think the lake can hold that temperature long, which is fine. The upper 70's (°F) are good too. The lake dropped about an inch this week due, in no small part, to a lack of rain. More rain is predicted this week. Let's hope we get it.
