The Last Week in June
June 25th through July 1st
And, of course, feet touched water.
It was hot this week.  The lake temperature touched 77 degrees (F), the air temperature touched the 80's.
And not just a little rain.  Best rain storm in the last several years blessed the lake with over 3.5 inches.  Yay!
The ski show was condensed to one act, the opening barefoot line, which was puncuated by rumbles and rain from the sky.
The creek by the bar had all but dried up before the rain. Now it's flowing like it flowed during the Spring thaw.
All that wet has pushed the lake up to 30 inches below the nail.  Get your last look at the extended shoreline, it's going fast.
The local fishermem are happy, the fishing must be good.
The way I see it, you can't have enough things that eat mosquitos.  Especially this year.
It's hot, sunny at times and there's almost enough water in the lake to float the, up to now, purely ornamental bouys on the south end.  If there is a down side to the season thus far it'd be the bitey bugs.  If coming to the north woods, bring DEET.  Gallons of DEET.  A swim suit would be good too.
