| The Weekend Before Labor Day August 24th through 27th |

| We got some rain last week. Hurricane Isaac it was not. We need much more rain. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| Lake Lucerne was calm Saturday morning. A southerly wind grew as the sun climbed higher. By noon, the lake was great for tubing and extreme sailing but skiing and footing, not so much. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| The creek bed was bone dry by Monday. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| We did get some rain on Sunday but it was more like a heavy dew. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| Return to Knottlane |

| I am dreading the September 1st lake level check. My guess is that it's currently about 4 inches below the start of August. Booo. While I'd personally like a warm wet Fall, at this point I'll take a cold wet one. Even a little rain during the Knott Lane golf outing on Sunday (09/02 at NCC, tee times starting at 1:03 PM, still plenty of slots available, email Mrs Nemo (meg@knottlane.com)) would be welcome. While diving cribs on the north end of the lake, larger panfish were harder to find but the lake is teeming with free swimming fry. Thousands swarm under rafts, in weeds and around cribs. There were some big, well fed looking bass too. -Nemo has his tee time. Previous Next |
