The Weekend Before the 4th of July

The weather all weekend was great. The Sunset on Friday was especially good Plants in the area seem to be enjoying the weather almost more than us. Saturday was Gin and Tonic night at the bar. Limes were used as a garnish. The Gin wasn't top shelf and the tonic was a little old, but that's a quality garnish. The ski show, normally held on Wednesday, had a special show on Sunday. It was pretty well attended. Some of our favorite acts include the "swivel ski"... The upside down pyramid... And all the barefoot acts. This Sunday, the show had special guest footers that included the best female footer in the world. Backward on one foot was impressive. Rain! We did not see any over the weekend, but the lake got submerged on Monday evening. Rain gauges around the lake reported from 3.5 to just under 4 inches of the wet stuff on Tuesday morning. More is predicted over the next 3 days. The shoreline is being covered and piers are going underwater. Huzzah! We still have a long way to go, but this was a good start.<br><br><br>-Nemo never swills gin.
