The winds of last week gave way to the calm of the weekend. The lake was very flat and ski-able everyday. When this picture was taken, there was 20 minutes left in the day to legally ski. Time enough for 2 or 3 good runs but no one skied up all that mirror. The fish are active under all that flat. We pulled in 15 rock bass in less then a half an hour on Sunday, ate 5 and froze 10 for later. The bluegills are starting to "nest" just out from the raft. They are grumpy, giving the fish-stink-eye at any diver that looks their way. I wanted to get a picture of 'em, but the water is just under 70°F, the time was late and who wants to risk some weird fish curse.
-Nemo, too sore from skiing to ski.
