Conversation on Hwy 64, on the way up<br><br>Radio: 107.9 FM playing U2's "Where the Streets Have No Name"<br><br>Nemo: *singing along* "...where the beets have no name"<br><br>MrsNemo *smiles*<br><br>Nemo : "Naming your beets is probably not a good idea, you don't want to get to close to a probable foodstuff."<br><br>MrsNemo : "You could also have the problem with the young beets imprinting on you."<br><br>Nemo: "A dozen or more root vegetables following you around the house could get old fast."<br><br>MrsNemo: "Get off the white carpet!"

On Saturday, Brule was warm (for winter), not too icy, and crowded. Mrs Nemo had to be pried off the hill to make the 4:00 at St Leonard's.

We made it back to the lake just before sunset. Walking around the lake is hard with all the snow.

On Saturday night, teen types wanted to roast marshmallows over a campfire. We didn't have marshmallows, sticks, or a campfire but we did have cheese puffs, golf tees, and a candle.

Bar night was punctuated with a sighting of the fiery and tasty Bailey's Comet

The Sunday morning "Shoveling The Furance Vent Out-a-thon" was less festive than planned...and it wasn't planned to be all that festive.

After pushing through several inches of snow to get to it, the ice was found to be almost 22 inches thick. It should peek in a week or two.

With all the snow, the lake should go up a bit. Tree tapping starts in just two weeks!<br><br><br>-Nemo
