The weather on Friday evening was nice. Cool and somewhat clear.
Great weather for campfires and lite carpentry.
The color in the northwoods is a bit past peak. There is still plenty of reds and golds but some trees are leafless.
Despite rain on Saturday, the lake level remains low at about 22 inches below the nail. More rain is predicted this week. It will help.
Some items still need to be pulled from the cold and getting colder water. It looks as if most boats and lifts were safely pulled in last weekend. Final swims and pumpkin carving are less than 2 weeks away.
