I think of Friday, May 20th of this year as the start of the warmer season. The temperatures soared and the hills turned green.
The almost full moon would have put a damper on stargazing if the night remained cloud-free. The nights were cloudy.
Trilliums were all over the northwoods like cold in the lake (lake temperature : 53 F). They should be around for a few weeks.
A new wabcam housing was put up with the smushing of only one finger. The cabin's DSL has to be upgraded to "business class" to enable live feeds again. This could happen as early as June.
I dove a bit but we inadvertently left Meg's mask in Milwaukee. Without a dive buddy it can be dangerous to go long or deep so the dives were short and in less than 15 feet of water (for the most part). The smallmouth are active, many swam with me, but I saw no other fish species. Floating afterwards was a good way to relax after a bike-tire explosion during a trip around the lake.
| The weather on Sunday did not make it easy to leave. We'll be back in 2 weeks.
