Router Reset Sunday
May 1st, 2005
Friday night at 8:36 PM the webcam stopped transmitting data.  After spending part of Saturday trying (and failing) to remotely fix it we went up on Sunday to see what the problem was.

In addition to mending the webcam, the water level was checked. It was 9.0 inches above the nail, 1.5 inches higher than the level at ice-out.
The webcam was moved to the lake shore and the routers powered down and then up.  The ftp functions started to work immediately and we thought that solved the problem.  Later, after we went home, it was discovered that the ports on the routers needed some configuration help.  We will fix it on Friday.  In the meantime the web recorder area is posting pictures of the lake every minute.
Smelting season on the northeast shore of the lake could be described as a flop.  This photo shows the entire catch and it's unclear if the smelt in the center is from this year or last.
The sleet was turning to snow when we left and the loons had grown silent.  By Friday night we'll have the webcam back to full functionality.
