| Meg had the honor of drilling the first hole to see the ice depth. It took longer than expected due to the 24 inches of very good ice. |

| Andy, in a fit of nostaliga, demands a hole be spuded "Like our ancestors did". A site was found along with the ancient ice spud and a good old fashioned hole spuding was attempted. It took both Jim and Andy (spud boys?) about 15 minutes to create the hole. |

| Jeff's fort was the only surviving one from the bottle rocket war. |
| It mysteriously collapses on Sunday! Jim urgently calls us out of the cabin to see the inexplicable ruins after he puts away the ATV. What could have caused such distruction? Gravitic flux? Anti- matter? We may never know. |

| We did much hiking. In one trip, to little Ron's cabin. The snow was quite deep at times. We were only saved by our snowshoes. |

| The drifting was extremely impressive in some spots. |
| The drifts next the the garge formed a sort of tunnel. No one who came up was brave/foolish enough to go splunking. |
