The lake had enough snow cover to build forts (about 3 inches). Form III was assembled to make sure it was ready to go. We left it put together. I hope Neil will not mistake it for the ATV and try to start it. If anyone sees Neil tell him "If it's green it's not the machine" The Ice hole was started. As I drilled into the lake I can't help but remember how much the ice spud sucked! Almost there. Success! The ice is about 9.5 inches thick. Meg trudges back to measure the lake with respect to the nail. The lake is still down about 11 inches from the nail. There's enough snow and more then enough ice for the annual Lake Lucerne Bottle Rocket War. We'll be back in 2 weeks to build forts, fire rockets, and toast the new snow.<br><br><br>-Nemo
