Dandelion Weekend
May 13th through 17th, 1998

It's Spring and lawns North of Hwy 64 are green with just a hint of yellow.

Or is that yellow with a hint of green? Either way, the dandelions are up.

There are Trillium too.

On Friday night, a thunderstorm passed over the lake. We had hoped to get a few good lightning pictures, but all the electricial activity was the boring cloud to cloud type.

The fish are "jumping into the boat" active. We got 39.

We cleaned 39. If fish ruled the world, the area would be taped off and bass with badges and blue gloves would be collecting and tagging evidence. Good thing they don't, the evidence against us is pretty strong.

What to eat with those fillets? How about beans! Please start boiling some water in 58 to 60 days.
It looks like someone on the lake is getting a garage upgrade. The color of the old car hole will be missed most of all.

The fish are biting, the hills are green, the days are in the 70s and 80s (°F), the nights are in the 50s°F, and there is no snow in the forecast for the next several weeks. Huzzah! Lake Lucerne started the extended weekend at 61°F. By Sunday, it was 67°F. I love this time of year, except for the having to head back to work part. We'll return in a few weeks to catch more fish and water the beans.
