Lifts in Weekend

Next »

May 16th through 18th, 1997

The water was high, cold, and open for over 2 weeks now, the time had come to put in the boat lifts. With a clear task in mind, a currently uninjured crew was assembled on the knottlane dock just before noon. Did I mention that the water was cold? It was determined that only one of us needed to go into the lake, xxLt drew the short straw and wetsuited up. The small, blond, disinterested foremen can attest that both lifts were in with only minor injuries and cursing. At Timber Shores Resort, the scar from the removal of the main house is healing nicely and the cabins should be ready for renters soon. In addition to getting the lifts in, we went to the Pied Piper in Rhinelander. There are many fine restaurants in the northwoods, but the Pied Piper is one of our favorites. The weather turned on Sunday preventing crazy people from skiing and making going back to work a little bit easier. We'll be back in a few weeks.

-Nemo prefers sand under his feet to office carpeting.
