Boats and Piers in Weekend
May 26th & 27th, 1995

It's that time again. Lawns are getting mowed for the first time this year. Piers are being put in. Boats are going in along with the lifts that they rest on. Timber Shores had no piers in, but the lawn was mowed between West Shore Drive and the lake.

North of West Shore Drive was described as cabiny and unmowed.

The Trillium are up. They should continue to embroider the forest floor for another week or two.

It rained on Saturday. Some of us were prepared.

Somehow, between the rain and really cold water, the boat and piers got in. The water level remains high and the temperature of that water remains low. Very low. I feel that I can comment on the lake temperture more than most this year in that I was the first swimmer in this weekend and the last swimmer out. Come to think of it, I was the only one to swim at all.

-Nemo enjoys swimming more when the water is over 54 F.                                                      Previous   Next
