July 19 through August 2nd, 1980

A guy from the Forest Republican just left. The paper heard of our experimental diving bell and sent him over to get a picture and a bit of verbage. The diving bell has performed well. No one died. There have been many calm days during this two week stay. By 10 AM the parade of skiers, lead by the ski boat driver, march to the beach and queue up for the day's runs. After a hard days skiing, rafto and not drowning, the place to be is cabin 3. The card game can go as late as 10 PM. Crying over bad cards starts earlier. If the north end of the lake is not to your liking, Radiola Resort sells pizza and chicken. There are cabins too. Cabin three has issues. When it rains, a stream runs under it. The toilet can't be used by any one over 6 foot tall. Worst of all, in the morning a squirrel runs through the front of the living room. I'm starting to dislike squirrels. There is more but the lake makes up for all of its short comings. The water is clear as crystal and many times during the last two weeks it was as smooth as a sheet of glass. We went to the riding stables just west of the lake to ride some of the horses. Mine pooped.

-Nemo has yet to mourn the death of disco
