Fireball over Lake Lucerne!

May 16th at about 2:38:43.4 AM, 2011

Last night a webcam, on the west shore, pointed east and set up to detect motion, captured an exploding meteor over the lake just after 2:38:43 AM local time. Each of these pictures is about 1 second apart. Anyone see it live? Would have been quite a sight. The show was over in about 4 seconds. Special thanks to aLf for capturing the images and sending them to me. Thanks aLf! And here it is all put together as a moving gif. The speed of the playback is close to the actual time of the event.

-Nemo misses everything
